Big Canoe Harvest is now open and available for ordering through Thursday at 9:00 pm.

Thank you for choosing Big Canoe Harvest as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce is grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 50 miles from the gates (although usually much, much closer).

Just as a heads-up, the baker from Twisted Pastry will be on vacation for two weeks after this weekend, so be sure to take advantage of his ridiculously delicious breads and pastries and stock up this week. Their quickbreads freeze beautifully!

Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food delivered to their door? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

We’re happy to report that there was an explosion of new customers this week! To everyone who recently signed, we say welcome, welcome, welcome! And to our returning customers, thank you for the kind words we’ve read online. It undoubtedly helped spur a lot of interest in our new service throughout the community.

To help us meet our quickly growing demand, we are excited to welcome Connie’s Cornucopia as a new vendor this week. Connie’s is a local, year-round urban farming operation out of Forsyth County. They specialize in greens, herbs, fruits, and vine-ripe veggies, using a variety of growing methods, including traditional in-ground, containers, aeroponics, and hydroponics.

We will continue to expand our offering as the weather warms and summer vegetables start to come into season. In the meantime, if there are items or vendors that you think would make a great fit for Big Canoe Harvest, let us know! We’ll continue to add new vendors as we grow.

Welcome to Big Canoe Harvest! Big Canoe Harvest is now open and available for ordering through Thursday at 9:00 pm.

We are excited to welcome two new vendors to join us, Loudmouth Farms and Twisted Pastry. Loudmouth Farms is located in Talking Rock and specializes in growing delicious mushrooms. They currently sell to some of our local restaurants, so expanding into home delivery in Big Canoe with us is a natural fit.

Twisted Pastry brings some of the most incredible desserts and breads we’ve ever had. They have a wide selection of breads, tarts, cakes, and cookies (some gluten-free!) so you’re sure to find a scrumptious temptation or two in our market.

Tumble Tree Farm brings the spring veggies, with carrots, radishes, and baby kale, as well as the healthy and delicious microgreens you’ve been enjoying from us so far this spring.
